Best Second Passport for Lebanese Citizens in 2026

Best Second Passport for Lebanese Citizens in 2026

Lebanese citizens can get a second passport legally through government citizenship by investment programs. The best one for your family depends on four things: your budget, how quickly you need it, where you want to travel and which relatives you want to include.

This guide compares the nine citizenship programs Global Pass offers, using the figures on our program pages (updated October 2026). All amounts are published minimums and exclude government, due diligence and professional fees.

The short answer

  • Widest travel access: St. Kitts and Nevis, with a Mobility Score of 148 on passportindex.org, from USD 250,000.
  • US business access: Grenada, the only Caribbean program whose citizens can apply for the US E-2 investor visa, from USD 235,000.
  • Lowest Caribbean cost: Dominica, from USD 200,000, with citizenship in about 6 to 8 months.
  • Fastest: Vanuatu, about 2 months, from USD 130,000, but without visa-free travel to the Schengen area or the UK.
  • Lowest cost overall: Nauru and São Tomé and Príncipe, from USD 90,000, with weaker travel access.

The Caribbean programs

The five Caribbean programs are the most popular with Lebanese families. All five allow dual citizenship, have no language test, and let you include a spouse and children; all of them also accept qualifying parents.

St. Kitts and Nevis: the strongest Caribbean passport

From USD 250,000 through the Sustainable Island State Contribution, or USD 325,000 in approved real estate. Most applications take 4 to 6 months, there is no minimum stay, and dependent parents or grandparents aged 55 or over can be included. See the St. Kitts and Nevis page.

Grenada: for the US E-2 visa

From USD 235,000 through the National Transformation Fund. Processing typically takes 3 to 6 months. Grenadian citizens can apply for the US E-2 treaty-investor visa if they meet its requirements, and the application can include qualifying parents, grandparents and unmarried adult siblings with no children. See the Grenada page.

Dominica: the lowest Caribbean cost

From USD 200,000 through the Economic Diversification Fund, or USD 220,000 in approved real estate. Most applications take about 6 to 8 months, and children up to 30 and parents or grandparents over 65 can be included. See the Dominica page.

Antigua and Barbuda: for larger families

From USD 230,000 through the National Development Fund, or USD 300,000 in approved real estate. It takes 14 to 18 months and requires 5 days in the country within the first 5 years, but the application can include parents, grandparents and siblings. See the Antigua and Barbuda page.

Saint Lucia

From USD 240,000 through the National Economic Fund, or USD 300,000 in approved real estate or government bonds. The program typically takes 24 months, has no minimum stay, and can include parents and siblings. See the Saint Lucia page.

Turkey: a property-based passport

Turkish citizenship requires a real estate investment of at least USD 400,000, held for 3 years, or USD 500,000 in a bank deposit or government bonds. Citizenship is typically granted in about 4 months, with no residence or language requirement. The application covers a spouse and children, and the Turkish passport gives visa-free access to 121 countries. See the Turkey page.

Lower-cost programs: Vanuatu, Nauru and São Tomé and Príncipe

These three cost less but offer weaker travel access. Vanuatu, from USD 130,000, is the fastest at about 2 months, but its passport no longer gives visa-free travel to the Schengen area or the UK. Nauru costs USD 90,000 for applications submitted before 31 December 2026 (USD 115,000 after that), and São Tomé and Príncipe starts at USD 90,000 for a single applicant.

Golden visas: residence instead of a second passport

If your goal is the right to live in Europe or the UAE rather than a second passport, a golden visa may suit you better.

Does Lebanon allow dual citizenship?

Yes. Lebanon does not prohibit dual citizenship, so Lebanese citizens keep their Lebanese nationality when they acquire a second one. All the programs in this guide also permit dual citizenship.

How to choose

  • Travel first: start with St. Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda and Grenada, the three highest Mobility Scores.
  • Business in the US: Grenada’s E-2 eligibility is the deciding factor.
  • Budget first: Dominica is the lowest-cost Caribbean option.
  • Speed: Grenada (3 to 6 months), Turkey (about 4 months) and St. Kitts and Nevis (4 to 6 months) are the fastest of the stronger passports.
  • Parents and siblings: Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada, Saint Lucia and Nauru can include siblings; check each program’s rules for parents and grandparents.
