About Antigua & Barbuda.

It is an English-speaking, two-island state in the Eastern Caribbean. It combines a tourism-led economy with established air links, modern services and membership of the Commonwealth, the United Nations, the IMF and the World Bank.

Its Citizenship by Investment Program offers qualifying applicants a regulated route to citizenship through a national-fund contribution, approved real estate, an eligible business investment or the University of the West Indies Fund.

A spouse and qualifying dependants may be included in one application. Applicants do not have to relocate permanently, but they must satisfy the program's five-day presence requirement during the first five years after citizenship is granted. A bill introduced in July 2026 proposes raising this to 30 days for future applicants.

  • 5 days' presence required within the first 5 years (a pending bill proposes 30 days for future applicants)
  • No language test; applicants aged 16 and over must complete a mandatory interview

National Development Fund (NDF) Contribution

The National Development Fund route requires a non-refundable contribution. The main applicant must be at least 18 and must submit the application through an authorised representative.

The main applicant and all included family members must satisfy the program's identity, health, source-of-funds, security and due-diligence requirements.

University of the West Indies Fund

An alternative donation route open to larger families of six or more, contributing to the University of the West Indies Fund. This route also provides one family member with a one-year, tuition-only scholarship at the University of the West Indies, usable within a five-year period.
